Management

Błażej Szaflik – President of the Board

Since 2010 he’s been producing video games. He gained experience working as a design department manager and producer at The Farm 51 company, co-creating such titles as Painkiller: Hell and Damnation, Deadfall Adventures, Afterfall Insanity, and many others. Since 2012 he has run a game design studio at the University of Silesia.

Aleksander Caban – Board Member

He has been involved in the computer games industry since 2010. He is passionate about Virtual Reality. At Carbon Studio, he deals with expanding business contacts, and sets new paths for the company’s development. He actively participates in trade fairs and conferences.

Karolina Koszuta – Board Member

Współzałożyciel Carbon Studio, oraz główny Producent tytułów firmy. Związana z branżą gier komputerowych od 2012 roku. Na co dzień zajmuje się organizacją pracy zespołu, oraz planowaniem produkcji.

Supervisory Board

Tomasz Michalik – Chairman of the Supervisory Board

Tomasz is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Silesia and the Faculty of Law at the University of Poitiers. He specializes in advising on implementing large infrastructure projects, investment financing, and economic law and business services. A lawyer and then a trainee legal adviser in the Warsaw branch of the French law firm Gide Loyrette Nouel. In 1996-1998, as a lawyer in the Brokerage House Elimar SA in Katowice, he participated in the implementation of numerous projects related to public trading in securities. In 2000-2001, he participated in privatization processes of state enterprises of the sugar industry, in protection proceedings before the Minister of Economy representing the most significant European steel producer and participated in handling greenfield investments. He was a member of the supervisory boards of PEC Jastrzębie and SKOTAN Skoczów, Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Unitor B Sp. z o.o. in Tychy and currently a member of the Supervisory Board of Centrum Zdrowia in Mikołów Sp. z o.o. He advised clients from the IT industry on setting up new entities in Russia and Ukraine and on their current investment activities. He cooperates with an investment fund that conducts investments in entities at the early stages of development (seed funding). Furthermore, he specializes in negotiating necessary commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions. He maintains regular cooperation with foreign clients.

 

Dr Jakub Kabza

Jakub graduated with honors in law and administration from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University. He started his professional career in 2009 in a brokerage house, initially in the private equity department (where, among others, he held the position of a director) and subsequently in the legal department. Since 2013 he has been associated with Cebula and Associates’ law firm, currently as a managing lawyer. He has experience holding positions in management and supervisory bodies of legal persons, including commercial law companies.

 

Andrzej Szurek

Andrzej has been professionally associated with the capital market since 2006.
He is responsible mainly for the communication of foreign companies, food and medical businesses, and relations with the financial media. Previously a journalist of Gazeta Giełdy Parkiet and Rzeczpospolita. He specialized in foreign markets and companies and issues related to NewConnect. He also gained experience at the Warsaw Stock Exchange, working in the NewConnect Market Development Department. He was responsible for acquiring new companies on NewConnect in Poland and abroad (Czech Republic, Ukraine). He graduated from the Faculty of International Relations at the University of Warsaw.

 

Bartosz Zieliński

Bartosz graduated from the Warsaw School of Economics in the field of Finance and Banking and numerous training courses in finance, capital market and corporate governance. Since 2005 he has specialized in handling transactions for Institutional Clients on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Through IPO/SPO/bond issues, he has prepared and implemented dozens of capital raising projects for public and non-public companies through IPO / SPO / bond issues. He is the author of many presentations of listed companies for institutional investors in Poland and abroad. Privately, he loves sport, technology and good food.

 

Mateusz Bochenek

Mateusz is an economist, and a specialist in corporate finance and banking. In 2004-2012, he worked for Bank Pekao S.A., Raiffeisen Bank Polska S.A. and DZ Bank Polska S.A., where he was responsible for structuring and providing opinions on financing for significant investment projects, mainly in the project finance formula. Since mid 2012, he has been involved in the packaging industry (corrugated fiberboard). Initially as a Financial Director, later as the Managing Director, he was responsible for the dynamic development of one of the most interesting start-ups in this industry – United Packaging S.A.
