The annual review of the most profitable games on Steam brought some very pleasing news for Carbon Studio. The Wizards made the list of the top 100 VR games bought on the platform in 2018, repeating the success from the previous year.
Currently, there are over 2600 VR games available on Steam, and each week the number grows by 60 to 70 titles.
Carbon Studio is all the more proud of this achievement in light of the fact that statistically, the bulk of a game’s sales falls on the period of roughly three months directly following its premiere, whereas The Wizards has remained on the list of most popular games two years in a row. The game’s extended product life cycle was achieved thanks to effective marketing strategies and continuing to expand and improve the game in 2018.
Carbon Studio predicts that 2019 will also bring notable profits from distribution of The Wizards, largely due to the planned premiere of the game on PlayStation®VR.
